Follow the source that answers your question

Find the public source that answers your question, then ask the person giving care, the board or your insurance plan what it means for you.

Choose the source for the question

For the product, start with the medicine agency. For the person, start with the board that handles their licence. For the bill, start with the terms of the plan or offer.

As you read, keep the written price, the medicine’s name and the care professional’s name in one place.

For medicine claims

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is an agency that reviews medicines.

Use the agency’s pages to learn about medicines made to order, called compounded medicines, and claims about weight medicines. Read the information for the exact medicine name you were given.

To check permission to treat you in Arizona

Use the Arizona field notes to find the right board. They explain how to check a state licence or permission for remote care from another state.

For a price or payment rule

Compare the written price with its terms. Keep the medicine name, who can get that price and the ongoing cost together.

For a complaint or medicine report

Arizona’s Medical Board gives forms and instructions for complaints about doctors using MD after their names.

Complaint forms for doctors using DO after their names come from Arizona’s separate DO board.

Arizona’s Nursing Board accepts complaints about possible failures to follow nursing rules.

Patients can use MedWatch, the FDA’s reporting service, to report a problem with a medicine.
